This collection of original oil paintings celebrates the quiet beauty of a Central California summer. Inspired by miles of backroads, forgotten places, and familiar landscapes, these paintings capture the journey as much as the destination.

Driving dusty country roads through the Central Valley and along the Central Coast, I found inspiration in weathered barns, golden hills, winding roads, oak trees, vineyards, and fields shimmering in the summer heat. Some scenes were planned stops, while others were unexpected moments that asked to be painted.

Working in oils, I focused on the changing light, warm colors, and atmosphere that make California summers so distinctive. Rather than documenting a specific place, these paintings are an invitation to slow down, notice the ordinary, and appreciate the beauty that often passes by unnoticed.

I hope this collection evokes memories of summer road trips, open windows, and the simple pleasure of discovering something beautiful around the next bend.
